Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 June 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you (“you”, “your”) and MedOffer(“MedOffer”, “we”, “us”, “our”) governing access to and use of our website at medoffer.co.uk, related subdomains, and all features, tools, content, and services made available through them (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account, purchasing a product, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
MedOffer is an independent educational technology platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of UCAS, Pearson, the UCAT Consortium, any medical school, or any government body. UCAT is a registered trademark of Pearson.
2. Who we are and how to contact us
The Service is operated by MedOffer. For all legal, billing, privacy, and support enquiries, contact us at contact@medoffer.co.uk. We respond to substantive enquiries within a reasonable period, typically within five business days.
We do not provide a postal address for correspondence. Email is our primary channel for legal and support communications.
3. Definitions
- Account — the user profile you create to access parts of the Service, authenticated through our identity provider.
- Content — all text, graphics, questions, software, data, and other materials we make available through the Service, including UCAT practice content and coaching materials.
- Free tier — features available without payment, subject to usage limits described on the Service.
- Premium — paid access to enhanced features, including unlimited UCAT Arcade sessions and personal statement coaching tools, as described at checkout.
- Season Pass — a one-time Premium purchase granting access until 31 October 2026 for the 2026/27 cycle (access until 31 october 2026 — two weeks after the ucas application deadline).
- Monthly Premium — a recurring subscription to Premium features, billed monthly until cancelled.
- User Content — information, text, files, and other material you submit, upload, or store through the Service (including personal statement drafts, academic data, and uploaded documents).
4. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to create an Account or purchase paid features. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your Account. Notify us immediately at contact@medoffer.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access.
We may refuse registration, suspend, or terminate Accounts where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, fraud has occurred, or continued access would harm the Service or other users.
One person must not maintain multiple Accounts to circumvent free-tier limits or other restrictions without our written consent.
5. Description of the Service
MedOffer provides tools intended to support UK medical school applicants, including:
- UCAT training games and progress tracking (“UCAT Arcade”);
- Personal statement drafting, AI coaching, and automated draft feedback;
- Optional paid human expert review of personal statements;
- Optional UCAT coaching packages booked after purchase;
- Informational content about entry requirements and related features marked as available or coming soon.
We aim to keep information accurate and up to date, but university requirements change frequently. Official university websites, UCAS, and admissions authorities remain the definitive source. We do not guarantee that any information, score, prediction, or recommendation is complete, current, or will result in an offer of a place.
We may add, modify, or withdraw features at any time. Features labelled “coming soon” are not part of your current contract until they are generally available.
7. Coaching packages and expert reviews
UCAT coaching packages (e.g. one-to-one tutoring hours) are separate one-off purchases. After payment, booking instructions and any Cal.com or third-party scheduling links are provided through the Service. Session delivery is subject to tutor availability and your timely booking.
Expert personal statement review is a fixed-fee human review service (currently £10 per submission unless otherwise stated at checkout). You upload or paste your statement; after payment we arrange for a reviewer to provide written feedback, typically within 48 hours but not guaranteed. Reviews are editorial feedback only — not a guarantee of admission outcomes.
Deliverables for coaching and expert review are described at the point of sale. If we cannot fulfil a purchased service due to our error, contact contact@medoffer.co.uk and we will remedy the issue or offer a refund at our discretion and in accordance with your statutory rights.
8. Pricing, payment, and taxes
Prices are shown in British pounds (GBP) and include VAT where applicable, unless stated otherwise at checkout. We may change prices for future purchases; changes do not affect subscriptions or passes already paid for.
Payments are processed by Stripe Payments UK Ltd (“Stripe”). Card and payment details are entered on Stripe's secure pages. We do not store your full card number. Stripe's terms and privacy policy apply to payment processing.
You authorise us and Stripe to charge the payment method you provide for the products you select. Failed payments may result in suspension of paid features until payment succeeds.
9. Refunds, cancellation, and consumer rights
If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, you have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Digital content and immediate access. When you purchase Premium, coaching, or a digital service and choose to access it immediately, you acknowledge that performance begins straight away. By completing checkout and accessing the Service, you may lose your 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations for that digital content, to the extent permitted by law.
Our refund policy. Except where required by law or where we have failed to supply the Service you paid for, fees are non-refundable once access has been granted or a review/coaching purchase has been fulfilled or made available. Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable for partial months.
Cancelling Monthly Premium. Cancel via the Stripe customer portal or by contacting contact@medoffer.co.uk. Access continues until the end of the paid billing period.
Statutory remedies. Nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights as a consumer where services are faulty or not as described. If you believe this applies, contact us with details.
10. Acceptable use
You must use the Service lawfully and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- copy, scrape, harvest, or redistribute our question banks, Content, or proprietary materials;
- attempt to bypass access controls, daily limits, paywalls, or authentication;
- use automated tools (bots, scripts) to access the Service except with our prior written consent;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or underlying data models;
- submit User Content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, infringing, or plagiarised;
- impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks;
- use the Service to provide competing commercial tutoring or content services without permission;
- share Account credentials or Premium access with others.
We may investigate violations and cooperate with law enforcement. Breach may result in immediate suspension without refund where permitted by law.
11. Intellectual property
MedOffer and its licensors own all rights in the Service and Content, including software, design, branding, UCAT-style practice materials, and documentation. Except for the limited licence below, no rights are granted to you.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service and Content for your own UK medical school application preparation, in accordance with these Terms.
You must not remove copyright or proprietary notices, or use MedOffer branding without our written consent.
12. Your content
You retain ownership of User Content. You are solely responsible for it and for ensuring you have the right to submit it (including work experience descriptions and statement text).
By submitting User Content, you grant MedOffer a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, process, and display it solely to operate and improve the Service — including providing AI coaching, human expert review you purchase, backups, and support.
You represent that your User Content does not violate third-party rights or applicable law. We may remove content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or poses legal risk, without prior notice.
If you delete your Account or request deletion, we will handle User Content in accordance with our Privacy Policy, subject to legal retention requirements.
13. AI coaching and automated feedback
Parts of the Service use artificial intelligence (including Google Gemini) to provide coaching chat, draft analysis, cliché detection, and similar features (“AI Features”).
AI Features are for guidance and education only. They do not constitute professional, legal, medical, or admissions consulting advice. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your circumstances. You must review, verify, and take responsibility for anything you submit to UCAS or universities.
AI Features are designed to help you write in your own voice, not to generate submissions for you. You must comply with UCAS rules on authenticity and plagiarism. Use of AI tools in your application is your responsibility.
We do not guarantee that AI output will avoid detection by plagiarism or AI-detection tools used by admissions tutors.
14. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service will meet your requirements. UCAT practice scores and analytics are for training purposes and may not reflect real exam performance.
Third-party services (Stripe, scheduling tools, etc.) are subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party websites linked from the Service.
15. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to the above, MedOffer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.
Subject to the above, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to the Service in any twelve-month period shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to MedOffer in that period, or (b) £100.
You use the Service at your own risk. Admission decisions are outside our control. We are not liable for rejection, missed deadlines, or outcomes of your application.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MedOffer from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your breach of these Terms, or your unlawful use of the Service, except to the extent caused by our negligence or breach.
17. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request Account deletion by emailing contact@medoffer.co.uk.
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continued provision becomes impractical. Where reasonable, we will notify you by email.
On termination, your licence to use the Service ends. Provisions that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be posted on this page; where appropriate we may also notify you by email or in-product notice.
Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel any recurring subscription.
19. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and MedOffer regarding the Service, superseding prior understandings on the same subject.
- Severability. If any provision is held invalid, the remainder stays in effect.
- No waiver. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of future enforcement.
- Assignment. We may assign our rights under these Terms. You may not assign yours without our consent.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for delay or failure due to events beyond our reasonable control (including outages, strikes, or third-party service failures).
20. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
Before commencing formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact contact@medoffer.co.uk so we can try to resolve the dispute informally.
If you are a consumer, you may also use the EU/UK online dispute resolution platform where applicable; we are not obliged to participate in alternative dispute resolution but will consider reasonable requests.
