Frequently Asked Questions
Getting started is easy! First, create a free account by clicking "Sign Up" in the header. Then, navigate to the "My Profile" tab in your dashboard and enter your academic information: A-Levels, GCSEs, and any admission test scores (UCAT, BMAT, GAMSAT, or MCAT). Once you save your profile, you'll automatically see your matches in the "My Results" tab.
To get accurate matches, you should provide:
- A-Levels: At least 3 subjects with predicted or achieved grades
- GCSEs: Your GCSE subjects and grades
- Admission Tests: UCAT, BMAT, GAMSAT, or MCAT scores (if you have them)
You can still use MedOffer without admission test scores - we\'ll show you which schools require them.
Each university receives a status based on how well your profile matches their requirements:
- Green (Good Match)You meet all academic and admission test requirements based on typical thresholds.
- Amber (Potential Match)You meet some requirements but may need improvements. Still worth considering.
- Red (Unlikely Match)You don't currently meet the minimum requirements. Consider alternative options.
Our matching algorithm uses verified 2026 entry requirements from official university sources. However, entry requirements can change, and medical schools consider many factors beyond academic grades (personal statements, interviews, work experience). Always verify information directly with universities before making application decisions.
Yes! You can update your profile at any time. Simply go to the "My Profile" tab, make your changes, and click "Update Profile". Your matches will automatically refresh to reflect your updated information.
No problem! You can still use MedOffer with your A-Levels and GCSEs. When you receive your admission test scores, simply add them to your profile and your matches will update. The system will show you which universities require which tests, so you can plan accordingly.
Click on any university in your results list to view detailed information including full entry requirements, selection criteria, historical cutoff scores, and links to official university pages.
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption and secure authentication through Clerk. Your academic data is stored securely in Supabase and never shared with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
